The Farm regularly hosts guided tours of The Cape and The Cape Community Farm. The tours run for 1.5 hours and cover solar passive and sustainable house design, sustainable landscape design, along with sustainable and water efficient food production. The tours can be structured to focus in depth on a specific aspect of The Cape development that your group is particularly interested in or delivered as a broad overview of all aspects of the development as a whole. As Australia’s most sustainable housing development, there is lots to see and learn about.
The cost is $15.00* per person. Minimum fee for a small group is $250.

Did you know?
That while the Australian standards now require new homes to reach a minimum of 7 stars; each home built at The Cape must be designed and built to meet a minimum of 7.5 stars. In reality, the average star rating for Cape homes sits at 8. To help reach that, they must have at least 10,000 litres of rainwater storage, and a minimum of 2.5 kilowatts of solar energy. Each resident has the opportunity to grow their own produce at The Cape Community Farm.
