Whenever the farmer is in, the gates are open and private individuals can come in, have a chat or just explore by themselves.
We love impromptu visits.
If you're looking for a more curated visit, we have that covered too. As a committee and a community, we firmly believe that The Cape Community Farm is a wonderful and inspirational place to visit - and we love showing people around. We have tailor made programs suitable for school groups (primary, secondary and tertiary) and special interest groups. We have working bees and social activities. Plus, you can shop at our regular weekly market. So, please take a moment to see how you can plan a visit to the farm.
When you are planning your visit, please remember that the farm is located on a Land for Wildlife property, and that while dogs are welcome, they must remain on leash and under your control.
Shop at our market
Open every Saturday from 10-11am.
Get on your bike and visit our market to grab some fresh vegetables, eggs, or some seedlings to start growing your own lovely, fresh produce.
We are currently offering several school programmes and have the flexibility to work with education providers to tailor something to suit specific curriculum requirements.
Book one of our guided tours to learn about sustainable and water efficient food production; solar passive and sustainable house design; and sustainable landscape design.
“The farm is a great place to catch up with others for a chat. I find that Adrian, our farmer, is always willing to offer advice and share some knowledge."
“Being a farm member is the best of both worlds. You get the satisfaction of harvesting what you've grown, whilst being part of a community.”
"When I volunteer at the farm, I don't just learn more about growing food, I learn more about my neighbours as well."
“I love to pop into the farm. I find it’s a place where I can fully immerse myself, just being present in the environment and the peaceful setting that the farm is for me.”
